For after-hours emergencies or disturbances please call 0491 152 030. If unanswered please call 0439 637 369. It is important to us that you have a restful sleep but our manager may not be aware of the noise near your room so please don’t hesitate to call the after-hours number if you are being disturbed.

DEPARTURE TIME:

Under normal circumstances we require the room to be vacated by 10am. If you require a late check-out please inquire at reception. If you are planning to extend your stay please check availability with reception.

HOUSE RULES:

In the interest of other guests Amooran has a No Party and No Noise Disturbance Policy. After an initial warning the police will be called to guests making a disturbance. The police will issue a noise abatement direction to the person
registered to occupy the room. Failure to cease noise in accordance with the police direction will result in an on the spot fine of $550.

House Rules apply.

  • All visitors must leave the site by 10pm. Only guests registered on check-in may occupy the room after 10.00pm.
  • All guests are to vacate the pool/BBQ area by 10.00pm.
  • No swimming in the pool between 7pm and 8am.
  • No parties or excessive noise: voice, music, TV or other after 10.00pm.
  • No alcohol consumed outside rooms after 10pm.
  • No physical or verbal abuse of staff or other guests.
  • No unsavoury behaviour or behaviour posing a safety threat to others.
  • No wilful damage to Amooran property.
  • Smoking on rooms and on room balconies is strictly forbidden.


WIFI & TELEVISION OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Wifi at Amooran is free of charge. To connect to Amooran Fiispot you will need to log in with a username and password or you can scan the QR code, located inside the front cover of your room compendium.

Once connected to WiFi, you can easily stream your favourite apps using the cast button on your device.

Our smart TVs allow you to access a streaming platform that you have an existing account. Select the required app and login using your user name and password. IMPORTANT: Remember to log out to ensure the following guest
does not use your account. To sign out go to “Get Help”.

• Select “Live TV” for free to air TV. Select “Input” then HDMI for a DVD. Select “Home” to access TV apps.

LG TV IN ROOM: 30

• Use remote and press “Home” icon. Arrow across to select “Live TV” to watch free to air TV or to select TV apps. To watch DVD select HDMI.

To watch TV press ‘source’ on the remote then click ‘Watch TV’. To watch a DVD press ‘source’ on the remote then click ‘HDMI Side’

DVD players are not supplied in all rooms. If required they can be collected at reception. Connect the HDMI cable from the DVD to the TV’s HDMI port located on the side or back of the TV. Select HDMI on the TV remote.

DOCTOR AFTER HOURS:

There is no after-hours doctor in Narooma. Our nearest hospital is at Moruya, a half an hour drive north. For medical treatment after hours it may be better to drive the patient through to the hospital or if an emergency call the ambulance.


SWIMMING POOL

The pool is salt water chlorinated and heated from the September school holidays to the end of the April school holidays. When not in use the pool may have a cover on it to prevent heat loss. If you wish to use it please do not hesitate to ask management to remove the cover. Please refrain from taking glass & bottles into or close to the pool in case of breakage.

Pool hours are strictly 8am to 7pm.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.


BREAKFAST:

We are currently only offering a continental breakfast which we deliver to your room the evening before. Please leave your breakfast menu at reception as early as possible but no later than 6.30pm.

The Montague Room is our conference room and can be used for groups for a buffet continental breakfast by prior arrangement.


BARBEQUE

Electric and gas barbeques can be found in the pool area. Please scrape the hot plate after use for the convenience of others. If required ask at reception for BBQ tools.

OFF STREET PARKING

The parking for rooms 1 – 7 is located through the office driveway at the north end of the pool. The parking area at the southern end of the block accommodates vehicles for units 8 – 30.

SMOKING:

Rooms and room balconies at Amooran are strictly non-smoking. If a guest smokes in the rooms all bed linen and curtains need to be laundered or dry cleaned and the room cannot be booked again until the odour is eliminated which may take days. Smoking in the room will incur a fee equivalent to one night room rate or a minimum $250 charge whichever is the greatest and will be charged to your credit card.

Please be respectful of other guests and staff and smoke outside well away from the building. In the case of rooms upstairs in the 3 storey block we have provided ash trays on the 2 western balconies outside the glass doors for smokers.

ROOM CLEANING

Although we do not offer a daily room service, clean towels, additional toilet paper, kitchen tidy bags, tea/coffee etc are available at reception. Please return used towels to reception when collecting clean towels.

A weekly room service and change of bed linen is offered free of charge for longer stays. If you wish to have your room serviced this can be arranged with reception and will incur an additional charge.

We have provided kitchen facilities in all of our rooms for your convenience. Dishwashing powder is provided for apartments with dishwashers. Additional powder can be obtained at reception. We do ask that your dishes be washed before you depart.

GARBAGE

Bins are located near the entrance at the end of Room 1, at the end of the walkway leading to the back southern carpark and below the stairs in the South Wing. Additional bins are in the pool area and the garbage bay in the back carpark.

  • The bins with yellow lids are for recycled glass, metal or paper items
  • The bins with green lids are for garden waste.
  • The bins with red lids are for all other garbage.


CAR OR BOAT WASHING

There is a bike-wash bay near the Cottage garage across the road from Amooran.  Enquire at reception if you require bucket, cloths and bike wash. The area is suitable for washing down boats or cars as well. Please contact reception regarding current water restrictions before doing so.

If you intend to secure your push bike in your room please collect a drop sheet from reception.

LAUNDRY FACILITIES

Laundry facilities are located toward the southern end of the main 3 storey block near the entrance to the southern car park. Both white Maytag washing machines and LG dryer are for guest use. The washing machines require 4 x $1 coins to wash a load. The dryer requires $4 for a 45 minute drying cycle. Please do not attempt to use the large Girbau washing machine or Girbau dryer which are for large commercial loads and for the use of management and staff only. Washing powder is available for purchase at the reception. An iron, ironing board and clothes airer are provided in all rooms.

Photocopying, tour enquiries & bookings, taxi and restaurant bookings. Binoculars are available for day use to Amooran guests. Please inquire at reception to take on loan for the day and return before 7pm.

THE MONTAGUE ROOM:

The Montague Room is Amooran’s Conference Room situated at the southern end of the main 3 storey block above the back carpark. The Montague Room is ideal for a small conference, meeting or training workshop and has a glassed in deck with views to Montague Island that can be used for meal breaks and as a break out space.

INFORMATION FOR GOLFERS

Scenically spectacular and technically challenging, Narooma Golf Course offers a unique experience for the serious or not-so-serious golfer. Fairways run adjacent to a stretch of rugged coastline on the front nine and on the back nine, meander through forest, coastal scrub and wetlands. The course currently boasts the following rankings:

Number 1 in NSW and ACT for the best public access course

Number 9 in Australia’s 50 favourite courses as voted by the golfing public

Number 15 in Australia’s top 100 public courses.

The Golf Club runs competitions most days with the course being closed to social golfers during competition times. If you are interested in playing either a social game or in a competition, contact the Pro Shop.

Except for January, as a general guide the course is available for social players to hit off before and after the following times:

If you’re staying a few days and want a change, play Bermagui or Moruya, both only a half hour drive away, or Catalina at Bateman’s Bay, one hour drive away. Both Bermagui and Moruya Clubs offer very reasonable discounted golf rates if staying at Amooran.

Bermagui is a beautiful 18 hole championship course renowned for its lush fairways and quality greens. Moruya is extremely well conditioned and has a unique double green to finish.

  • Further south, drive to seaside Bermagui and along the scenic Tathra Road visiting galleries where you can loop back through Bega. Or take the road from Bermagui to the country town of Cobargo also a great place to stop and browse for a shop or meal break.
  • Drive north to Bodalla another interesting country town worth a visit for its shopping and cafes. Visit Bodalla’s Historic All Saints Church, the Post Office Art Gallery and sample some home-made cheese at the Bodalla Dairy Shed.
  • Drive further north to Moruya and Batemans Bay where you can visit Mogo village on the way and take the coastal drive back from Batemans Bay.

In Case of FIRE leave through the nearest EXIT

Your room’s directions to the assembly point are located on the back of entry door. Pleas familiarise yourself with directions in case of emergency.

  • TELEPHONE 000 and notify fire service (please note that some phones may not access the 000 number – check with your mobile service provider, well before you need it).
  • If you see SMOKE, FLAMES or hear a FIRE ALARM, alert other residents immediately. If safe to do so remove people from immediate danger.
  • If you are unable to safely evacuate, stay in your room, and signal your presence from balcony.
  • If it is Safe to do so, close any windows and confine the fire.
  • Follow the EXIT signs to locate and leave through the nearest emergency EXIT and proceed to the meeting point. The meeting point is located across Ballingalla Street on the GOLF COURSE DIRECTLY OPPOSITE Amooran swimming pool. Please remain at meeting point until
  • manager has arrived. This is necessary in ensuring that all guests are accounted for.
  • Calmly follow instructions given by staff or any fire officers.
  • DO NOT RE ENTER the building until you are told it is safe to do so by manager or fire officers.
